I’ll be signing print copies of my book, Second Chances, at the Stars of Romance Holiday Book Signing event being held at the West Melbourne Public Library. Stop by for refreshments and giveaways and to get some early holiday shopping done by purchasing books signed by the authors in attendance. If you’ll be in the area, I’d love to see you!
Second Chances releases on November 15th. To celebrate I’m having a release party on Facebook from 5-9 pm. I’ll be joined by some awesome authors and there will be giveaways! To join the party, click here and I’ll see you on the 15th to celebrate!
I’m so excited! Second Chances has a release date!
November 15, 2016! Yay!
I’m thrilled and petrified at the same time. I’ve really put my head down this past year and worked my ass off.
I hope you fall in love with Hayden and Sunny as much as I did!
We’re here! After a long time of hoping we could make the move and then what seemed to be a mad dash of planning, we arrived in Florida at the end of April.
It seemed so weird to be able to go swimming in the spring – outside. Maine never gave us that luxury. Yes, I know it gets hot here. I’m looking forward to it. Cold, snow and ice was never my forte. I was definitely born in the wrong region.
My parent’s moved here over 10 years ago and haven’t regretted that decision once. We won’t either. Hubby’s from the mid-west and loathed the Maine weather from the first winter when his company had transferred him until we left.
Don’t get me wrong. Maine has some lovely things. The beaches, the ocean, the beautiful foliage. Apple picking in the early fall and cutting down our Christmas tree in the winter are things I will surely miss and will not be able to do here, but I’ve still got the beaches and the ocean. Only now I can enjoy them for many more months out of the year.
I’m looking forward to this new adventure.
Cheers! To sand and sun!
The title may be a bit misleading. Or I feel like I’ve had the longest beginning ever! I’ve had the tips of my toes touching the vast waters of the writing world for years.
I’ve been to my fair share of conferences and retreats. Belonged to numerous RWA chapters, some I’m still a member of, some not. I’ve even served on the boards in various roles including President, VP of Communications, and Treasurer.
I’ve met lots of great people over the years that I’m still in touch with. There are a few that are my besties and we travel together and talk whenever we can.
With all that being said, I kind of viewed writing as something on the back burner. I’d do it when I had time, but never made it a priority. And that was my mistake. That’s why it’s been years, but yet I feel like I’m only at the beginning of my journey.
That changed last year. A lot of things were changing for me. My husband and I were empty-nesters. We decided to move from Maine to Florida. My husband’s job seemed steady, but we found out not long before our moving day that they decided to eliminate his position. And I decided to make writing my priority.
That’s why it feels like the beginning. I wasn’t going to sit around and wait for something magical to happen. I decided to take my writing career by the reins and make it happen. I’m forever grateful to my MRW peeps who have answered my endless questions these past few months. I promise to stop bombarding you.
Things are moving ahead quickly. I’m really proud of my progress and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
And that’s why it’s the beginning.
